Mmmm....Limba

Dwellers of the Rocks. Thats what my new bike tells me Limba means. According to last weekend's races Limba means one bad ass cross ride. I'll be the first to admit I had my hesitations about changing from a steel cross ride to a Scandium one, but last weekend proved all those doubts to be unfounded. I was expecting a bone rattlingly rigid ride accompanied by brake shutter and jumpy handling. What I found was a supple ride in the bumps, cornering like a rollercoaster, and the responsive feel from a trusty steed you've ridden for years. All this on the first ride. While its true I did manage to have an unplanned get-off during one of the races last weekend, I prefer to blame the U23 rider's line I was following rather than either the bike or its rider. All in all I'm totally stoked to get to ride my Limba all season, come snow, mud or frozen, spleen rupturing tundra. Tomorrow I plan to put it through the paces on local single track, at maximum velocity nonetheless. I don't doubt I'll arrive at work late, again, but this time I'll have a huge grin on my face and dirt in my teeth.

Not only did I get to ride a pimp bike this weekend, I also got to sleep in this pimp bed.
